Even if I'm not sure what Lyme disease is. I've heard it but here we mostly speak of TBE and Borrelia. Or is it Borelia?

Maybe it's just M83, it does feel like cheating using their music in trailers.

Anyway it didn't end in a cliff hanger type of way but felt finished which I am pleased with.
Edit: and there were considerably fewer kids around. Big plus.

The main character in this series is annoying. I am on the last episode of Gone (6 episodes, British Crime, what else?)
Basically, a female detective is trying to solve the murder of a woman first presumed missing (gone). It's kind of implied that she's treated unfairly by her superiors, they give her tasks she doesn't want and the like. And I suppose we're supposed to side with her, but apart from the time she's punished for her ex acting like a jerk I just find her unprofessional.
When she's asked to file evidence, she just takes it out of the station. There's a key she tries in a lock, not using gloves (at least I don't think she did). Next time she tries it, she does use gloves but just puts it away (on a table, unguarded) so that if the suspect returns they can just snatch it back and she can't prove they ever had it or that the victim had it because she never finished filing the evidence.
Then again, through all the episodes there's recording conversations in secret, claiming everything said is in strictest confidence when it obviously isn't and the like. One of the suspects is asked to tell a family member the truth and the two of them are left alone but it's unclear if he knows he's being watched and recorded... The whole series just seem rather "not by the book" which annoys me. A shame really, because otherwise it's an interesting mystery complicated by the main suspects inability to communicate. (If a bit slower and longer than necessary, perhaps.)
Although, unless the detective's ex turns out to be a killer too, I dunno why he or that other "side-quest" is even involved. It just makes her seem even less professional. And her ex is apparently a shit-head, so why does she insist she wants to try again?
