In Swedish, anyway*. I'm about half way through the episode now. Apparently the alien spaceship is a fungus. :dumb:

Anyway, acting levels vary between people but so far I think I can stand it.

*I read a comment by a director I think it was, probably Swedish too, who said he'd always felt Swedish actors were kind of crap but he'd realised it wasn't the actors fault but the material they had to work with. Not sure I agree, as it's usually the way they deliver their lines I find very stiff and unrealistic. But at least I'm not alone in thinking lots of Swedish film and telly is crap

What, you don't binge watch Swedish Crime shows? :O

Now they're waiting for an instrument to arrive from Lidköping (near here) before they can send drones up to investigate. I suspect they actually said Linköping and the subsitles got it wrong (classic mistake, nobody can tell whether we say Linköping or Lidköping, but Linköping has a university so it makes more sense to get advanced sensors and whatnots from there)

As far as I know I have now seen the last episode of season 1 of We Come in Peace, and I've found nothing about a season 2, but it does leave things kind of open.
I'm still not sure if the "aliens" are friendly or not - they act peaceful and say they come in peace but they multiply by the hundreds or maybe thousands...

I agree with many of the points made in various critical reviews but didn't find it as bad as those reviewers seem to have done.

And I can't quite unsee a certain similarity between Reuter (playing a villainous politician) and the "aliens" (are they aliens if they are born on Earth?) Unfortunately there are almost no available images from the series, online, so I can't show you.

Now I have watched the first episode of Talamasca, on Netflix. I'm not sure whether it's an actual story written by Anne Rice or if it's inspired by her other stories as the intro said something about being based on a couple of other stories by her. But I do find it a bit amusing that the Interview with a Vampire book is mentioned and apparently not very liked by some of the people involved. And that it was written by a vampire which I guess makes sense if you read the book but not if you remember that it was actually written by Anne Rice... Anyway, there seem to be 6 episodes. No idea if that is "so far" of if it will actually have an ending. Guess I'll find out, eventually.

I guess I should watch the final season of Stranger Things, too, but so far I haven't really felt like it.

Is Rice Talamasca like Paella?

Why yes, and I love watching Paella on TV.

Edit: One of the actors was also in a sci fi series I saw once so I looked that up because I couldn't remember the name. Invasion, 2005-2006. I'm pretty sure I only saw the 2005 part. Not entirely - all I remember really, is that I never saw the end but perhaps there wasn't one. (IMBd says it was 1 season and quotes a producer or whatever he was, saying it was meant to be 5 seasons...)

The guy needs to memorize a 54 number code and doesn't even blink at this... I'd scramble it in seconds. :dumb:

For a world full of secrets everyone's rather forthcoming with their whole lives' stories. They leave some details out, but still. Very talk-happy.
