Wasn't so bad. Think I'll watch episode 2 after a shower.

I think recent versions of Sherlock has made him more and more eccentric, and usually not in a very nice way. Thewlis manages to tone his eccentricity down instead, while still being perceived as intelligent and a bit rude. Just not a sociopath... I think. And I like the daughter character too.

If you mean powers of se... oops I meant deduction, yes. You do know super hero and sociopath is not synonymous, right?

Most modern Sherlocks have super powers rather than working stuff out

They do? I must have missed that bit. :hmm:

Well, this one seems a little less quick to draw conclusions for the most part. For instance he has found a screw that he does not immediately recognise... But he could also tell that the detective that wasn't Lestrade (maybe he's retired now? They all seem to be meant to be older...) had worked all night because his coat was damp. Personally I don't know why his coat would be damp if he worked indoors all night but I guess he didn't. That's my deduction based on Holmes's.... :dumb:

Benedict Cabbagepatch pretty much had magic (and I mean as Sherlock, not Dr Strange) and still didn't solve any crime

I do remember him seeing a bunch of words in the air. He also treated Watson horribly. Although that last probably doesn't count as a super power... :hmm:

OK, now the sherlock and daughter is a bit too stupid. Yesterday the daughter, Amelia, was looking for a horse and she kept looking at a drawing of it (I didn't realise at the time but she probably made it herself) and I was thinking why on earth does she need to look at it every 5 minutes just to remember it had a white mark on its forehead?

Well, today she's looking for two men - and she knows what they look like because she drew their likenesses too. So when she finds a jacket.... she compares it to her drawing.

I mean, either she never saw it clearly and would not have made the drawing good enough for comparison or she'd remember what she drew. It would make so much more sense if the person making the drawings and the person(s) using them to find things, were different people!
