It's entertaining without being great. The kind of show that's easy to watch but becomes silly if you think about it too much. :aha:

What doesn't become silly when you think about it?

Apparently we have a new streaming service in Sweden, Black Sheep Streaming. It shows films that usually don't make it to the cinemas... Like sharknado and werewolves, aliens etc... And someone named Tsukamoto... Never heard of them but they made some films called Tetsuo, which makes me wonder if that's the same Tetsuo that got weird in that Akira series I read ages ago and never got to finish... :hmm:

I can subscribe for free for almost 2 months... (And if you pay for a year, it's 666 SEK ) Kind of considering but I'm not sure how much I'd watch since I tend to prefer series to films.

That would be Tetsuo the Iron Man. The first one is a Black and White low budget arthouse cyberpunk horror film. It's difficult to describe. The second wasn't as good in my opinion, it had a bigger budget, was in colour, and was a more traditionally narrative film rather than the insane experimental style of the first. It's while since I saw them, but I think they are worth watching. They are unrelated to Akira, although I guess you could argue that there is a slight similarity in where the characters end up.

I watched a couple of trailers... (Not of Tetsuo, and I kind of figured the films would be called Akira if it was the other story... :dumb: ) One seemed like it could be fun, one was terribly enervating. I think the word is.

I don't think "insane experimental" is quite my thing... :hmm:

You can watch trash like Sharknado for free on Tubi if you are that desperate

Sharknado is not on my watch list :stare:
There are a couple of "Jurassic" ones though, though not actually part of the Jurassic Park series (even though they make a T-rex from old DNA)

I just watched the trailer for "Metropolis"... Very theatrical... and apparently revolution (or disaster or salvation, or whatever) will be brought fourth by a cabaret dancer...

Anyway, even if I could get some free movies I suspect I'd only want to watch one or two... They add 4 a week apparently, but I dunno if I'll bother with it.

Like I said earlier, I do prefer series. Most of the time, anyway. Might get a month for the horror movies closer to Halloween, I tend to want horror then... Or for Xmas when I can't stand all the stupid santa-themed rom-coms that air all over the place at that time of year.

There's a whole genre of movies that sound like they're a famous blockbuster but are instead some of the cheapest knock-offs you can ever imagine.
My all time favourite is The DaVinci Treasure starring C Thomas Howell which is so cheap that it looks like it was entirely improvised in one afternoon.
