I am ALSO annoyed by how they cut like microseconds of the footage so you see someone walk down the street (booooring) and then they cut a microsecond so there's a bit of a "twitch" and they're one step further along and then you get to watch them keep walking (boooring again) and then they start turning their head and they cut one microsecond while they turn their head instead of just cutting to them having turned their head and/or what they're looking at. They do it often enough that they MIGHT shorten an episode by about a minute I guess, but I doubt it's even that much. It's just a completely pointless and very annoying gimmick.
I wish I could remember what it was I last added to my to-watch-list and which streaming service, but I guess it might be something I've already watched by now...

Then again that seems to happen a lot on TV. Everyone talks like there's no-one else around. Maybe that's why more and more people do the same in real life?

I guess all those edits are an attempt to engage with a younger audience who are used to those fast talking YouTube videos with no natural pauses.
And this comment is a bit late but I've only just clicked on that Werewolf trailer thing from the other day (couldn't get it to play before) and was scared, not by the werewolves, but by how few frames there were in that animation.
I even downloaded it to go through it frame-by-frame in VLC just to annoy myself even more at it.
