and it's Swayze and Demi Moore - two actors I never cared for. AND a romantic movie (not even sure if it's a comedy or drama, to be honest). I just never cared much for romantic stuff.

It's both. It manages to encompass several genres successfully IMO.

In other news I watched Netflix movie Kate last night. The trailer I posted for it a few pages back gave it something of a sci-fi vibe, but it is in fact just a contemporary action thriller that feels like a 90s straight to video thing even though it's doing the trendy John Wick/Atomic Blonde big fighty many people gun-fu thingy. Not terrible, just not very memorable and very predictable (with all the neon everywhere they could have just had a big neon sign over a certain person at the start that said "I'm the bad guy" and it wouldn't have been any less surprising when it is "revealed").

But that subway scene does explain all that and establish the "rules" of ghostery.

It establishes the rules that he's been breaking throughout the movie.
He goes to the subway to find out how to "touch" physical objects but he's already touching stuff when he runs down stairs and jumps onto trains. He then learns the "rule" about focusing emotions to touch things even though he hasn't been focusing emotions while doing it previously.
If the rule works and is consistent he would already have to focus while standing on anything, stop focusing while jumping through the wall and then focus again so he can land. And I have no idea how he would be able to stand on one thing while also sticking his head through the wall as he does in that scene.

Just wait until you're a ghost and have to work this stuff out for yourself

And it's a bit disaopointing that Kate is... disappointing.
The trailer didn't look too bad. I was gonna watch it at the weekend but I'd only just watch the movie Anna which also has a big fighty, female assassin thing albeit with less neon.
So I guess I'll put it off for another week or so.
