He was The Rock's boss. He wasn't in it a lot (two scenes and one of those stupid during-the-credits gags) but even that was way too much.

He's such a chameleon like master of disguise that completely immerses himself in every role to create a unique and individual performance that I am amazed you could tell it was him. 

Let's be honest, it's not like The Rock or Jason Statham are any better in that regard. But at least the single characters that they each play throughout their careers are nowhere near as annoying and punchable as that other chap.

Jason Statham is a master of accents. I remember seeing him in something and by the end of the film I decided that he was possibly supposed to be American maybe... although I'm still not certain.

Then again it's mostly for the action scenes rather than the acting...

Edit: Come to think of it I usually enjoy movies with The Rock, too...

All his movies are memorable in that way.

At least with Statham and The Rock (and many others like that) there is at least a sense of self-awareness and irony about what they're doing which allows their movies to still be enjoyable at some level, whereas Ryan Reynolds just exudes smugness and insincerity. And he plays the role all the time. Every movie, every interview, every appearance on a celebrity TV show, every cringey advert for aftershave and every selfie video on social media. His whole life is one single unconvincing performance.

I think Statham 's American accent was coached by Ray Winston.
