The first half of Captain Marvel is much better than the second half.

And the first half wasn't particularly good either. It's basically an origin story where an already immensely powerful super powered person gains... a slightly different costume and learns... nothing really.

It certainly wasn't great, but I did like the way they structured the first part. Origin stories usually have a normal person becoming a superhero but by starting with the superpowered person and having them discover their "normal" origin added a bit more drama than you usually get in Marvel movies.
But then it quickly degenerated into that more familiar dross of supermanwoman doing special effect stuff punctuated by tiresome banter.

Well, part of Pratchett's appeal is Josh Kirby's art, to be honest :p

I am now starting Discovery season three.
