Get out there! Week 2 - Dinosaur (or pterosaur or other such saur)
Nobody made any suggestions for a new theme and I was going to go with dragons, but in honour of Dr Alan Grant a.k.a. Sam Neill, it'll be dinos. Large or small, actual dinos or contemporary* critters.

*Contemporary with dinosaurs, not us.

After just completing an 8km walk I think it's still a bit too warm for walking. :dead:
I hope this dinosaur found more shade than I did.
Let me have a look at these photos and see where I can scribble something in... :brb:

8km! :O :dead:

It's 22 degrees here today. I'm not going outside! :dumb:
(Actually it's more to do with having a headache; hopefully I'll get some walking done later in the week, but not today.)

Edit: And seriously (or not) - did you think it was going to cool down after the first km or so?

When you don't drive a car you have to walk to the place you want to walk around and then walk back when you've finished.

My weather app claims it's 23 here but my own thermometer says 26 in the shade and it feels more like that. But the occasional breeze felt cooler so that's why I kept walking.
Keep on keeping on.

When I first moved here I hoped I'd walk to the places that are about 3-5 km away (and then around), but... I've sat still for too long. I'm not sure I'd manage to get home again. So for now, I do take the car to those places. Occasionally. Don't even do that often enough, as evidenced by the amount of times I've needed new car batteries. :dumb:

I just looked at the "weather warning" in the news, that says we'll have high temps here all week starting tomorrow. Perhaps I should try to get out today.... :hmm:

I've sat still for too long. I'm not sure I'd manage to get home again.

I used to think that way too and could never get very far. You just have build things up gradually and now, weather permitting, I can do 7-8km every day and sometime twice that when I can be bothered.

But don't force yourself when it's too hot. :P

Definitely wouldn't work when it's hot. But also my feet tend to start hurting after a while. And lately my knees. Not to mention my hips, back, shoulders... :rain:
