Speed

Brief: Create an image based on the title theme.

Deadline: Midnight Wednesday the 30th of November.

Rules in brief:
- All challenge entries must be your own work.
- You should post at least two WIP images that are clearly different from your final entry and each other.
- Your final entry should contain your image (inserted so it shows up full size) and at least two links to your WIP posts on the forum.
- No chatter in the finals thread – if you have questions, post them in the WIP thread or PM an admin.
- Feedback is allowed & encouraged together with the voting and in the WIP thread.
- Deadline is given in UK time (midnight UTC) with a grace period of 5 minutes for getting the post sorted.
- Each member may cast one vote.
- No cheating! Admins may decide to disqualify an entry that does not adhere to the above rules.

My vote is obviously going to Valence's Pod Race.

And now that I've remembered I shall vote Banj.

Even though you used those art deco adverts for reference, the thing that it reminded me of was those wartime propaganda posters, which fits wonderfully with the militaristic patriotism that goes with all these superhero stories.
It's a lovely style that you rendered very successfully with those crisp edges and the subtle texture. And the way all those competing gradients fight against each other really makes the whole design pop off the page to grab your attention.

I completely forgot about this, but we appear to have... a situation 

Ooops, seems I also very speedily forgot....

How about I vote for Val because his scene reminds me of when I used to play that pod racing demo on my dad's computer, somewhen in my youth...
