That all explains my nib longevity. 
The surface of mine is so smooth it feels like drawing on acetate. When I first got it I had to put a sheet of paper on top of it until I got used to the feel of it.

Pffffft it's not MY fault we're doing badly! I hope 
Anyway we seem to be doing poorly on the national level, the local levels are the last to be calculated. But at least we seem to make the magical 4 % barrier, now...

I bet that over the next few days you'll be frustrated by having lots and lots of wonderful ideas for paintings that you can't currently do, but then when you finally get your new shiny pen you'll forget all about them and sit at a blank screen saying to yourself, "I don't know what to paint!"

The first part may be already true but the second part is ALWAYS true.
