Is it "Paul" ?

I remember the Darwin line from that movie when Paul sees a tee shirt with a picture of Jesus shooting Darwin. Originally I was thinking the Blues Brothers but I believe they said "We are on a mission form God," not "I'm on a mission form God" and the other part of the quote about failing was not the Blues Brothers. Since Paul was a satire it is not unusual that they would use other quotes and references from other movies "Boring conversation" and Agent Mulder from X-files.
If I'm wrong, floggings can commence immediately. Verbal floggings that is, I bruise easily .
