CGAN Nov25 - The Fungi - WIPs

Love your optimism about this one. Not sure I share it.

I've tried to block out some hands and feet and also tried to jiggle some things around to try and help the anatomy.
There was a lot of trying in that sentence and I'm sure Yoda would have some advice about that.
Anyway...

 

It's also going a bit dark and muddy.

Just put some reflected light in the darkest part of that leg there, and you'll be fine

And I'll have to have a look at forearm anatomy too cos that's becoming a bit of a struggle. Especially where it connects to the wrist. I can never get that right.

Hey, maybe I should do some vines wrapped around the wrist to help that transition.

Plus some mushroomy things...

 

Better start thinking about the background.
That blue is starting to look a bit too strong now.
Thankfully I am using layers for once.

I think the blue actually looks pretty good against the Shrooms 

Maybe the saturation is just too strong on my screen.
I shall keep the blue a bit longer.

Some sort of beginning, possibly...  

Earlier this month, I gathered a bunch of reference images of what is hopefully real fungi (soooo many AI ones in the image search results ) and then I didn't get anything else done. And then I made a really sloppy sketch on a post it. And then Val's blue background inspired me to start doodling something on a green background (not included).

So here's a sort of beginning, on top of the refs, which is way more compact then my post-it sketch.   Oh well. Maybe I can resize it and then unblur it?  
 
 

I can sort of paint again. For now.
