The House

Brief: A Halloween theme for October. A creepy house with a dark past and a sinister present. Haunted? A nest of otherworldly creatures in the basement? Home to A crazed scientist making abominations in the attic? Whatever it is, you are tasked with depicting it.

Deadline: Midnight on Thursday the 31st of October. There will now be no voting and no eventual winner, this is just a creative exercise with a time limit.

We have a WIP!  
I'd have liked to finish the balcony doors today as well but it's getting too late. And I had planned to have a little railing around the attic stairs but maybe I'll just make an open hatch  

I also noticed just before finishing for the day that I need to flip the normals of all the doors in all nine doorframes. (Though I guess I can do it twice - one door's a little different - and then just replace the remaining seven...)

And yes it's a doll house.   I figured that would be scary. Don't you agree?  
 

I still need to add colours and textures and maybe some more details to the facade, but then it's "just" furniture and inhabitants. If there will be any of those... (I did consider for a while to use furniture I made for founders fortune to speed things up but then I remembered that it needs to be done this month, so... oops, nope. )
 

And while brushing my teeth yesterday evening I suddenly realised all the interior walls (and doors) are way too thin because I was thinking backwards in terms of the scaling... So there's some fixing to do with regards to that, too.

Looks fine to me and I like the doll house idea. I was planning on trying to make mine look like a small thing, like one of those isometric, tilt/shift things but that all seems a long way off given my current state of progress.

After much research yesterday I worked out how to move some vertices to flatten the faces in the roof.
I also tried to do the front door and it went very wrong so I had to delete that bit.
It's all going very slowly.

I like the doll house idea, I have just been thinking regular old houses. I like those spiky railings on the roof.
