CGAN Feb 23 - Fairy Tale - WIPs

 

i ACCIDENTALLY WORKED FOR TOO LONG TODAY AND NOW i HAVE NO ENERGY TO PAINT, AT ALL...And I SWEAR I had already turned caps off!

I'll just go and die a few times in Skyrim, shall I? I'm not sure I can muster anything else today...

How dare you, child! My tail is marginally better than before and at least it's not the dinosaur tail that was there before.

There's a lot going wrong with this Red Riding Hood, she's fairly one-sided in a no-faced kind of way, the normals have all gone bad on her arms cos I used too much of that snake hook thing to pull them out so smooth shading is out of the question, she's now sculpted into that pose so she won't be moving any more and... some other stuff too.
But it's only a tiny part of the screen so you won't really be able to notice the awful stuff, especially if I paint over those bits. And that's assuming I ever get to a place where I can do a render.

Poor Red, she must have had such a stupid and uncaring mother to have her walk through the forest alone when such beasts roam the neighbourhood.

YouTube videos are being watched once more.

I have made what I would consider a first pass with shading etc and I would like to say that there will be more, but I'm not sure how much time I will have. I do need to colour the lines and I dunno... tie it all together some, I guess... The metal bits don't look nearly as shiny as they should but I'm hoping colouring the lines will help with that. 

Anyway, here's where I am now.
 

That looks great.

I love the subtle layers of texturing on all the surfaces especially the bowl and the fruit. Some saturated specular highlights will make the metal shinier, although you may need to darken that mid tone a little to make it stand out more.
If you do have some spare time then the foreground hair on the right could use a bit more details/lines as some areas do seem a little empty in places.
