December 2018 - A MARVELous Holiday Season - WIPs

Today was a complete waste of time and effort.

I first failed with a doggy pic and then messed up a man-without-beard portrait. And after two deletes with nothing to show I now wish I'd spent the time on the Hulk's hands.

Valence Loving the Hulk I had tried with the hulk and spider-man together but could not come up with a good story for them. The only thing I had was a sketch of the Hulks back with a big sock in his hand. Santa flying off into the distance and Spider-man saying I said hang a sock out for Santa.

Charlotte I'm going for quantity and I hopefully entertainment though I may finish one to a slightly better standard in the end. Here is today's effort

Well my comic book consists of.... a single panel!

The torn outfit will return but I needed to take a step back to try and clean up the pose/anatomy. I know it's still not right but it'll do for now (maybe forever!) If I'm lucky then the ripped fabric might cover up the bad bits.

A quick update from me

OK so i''m trying to use the photo that micro posted up for me to give some reference lines for the perspective. The buildings on the left give a focal point that is in the distance but it should bring the eye to the building that is in front of the viewer . So that would seem to be the ideal place to position Santa's sleigh so I think placing a flat top lower building there would be the thing to do. All of the building in micros photo are all modern looking building to me and I seem to remember that when I bought Spider-man number 1 back in the sixties there where older looking building pictured in it with the kind of water tower that I tried to portray in my first sketch so I think that is the way I will go.
So I just let my age slip never mind MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL

Yikes! Only four days?
I'd better start redrawing that Santa shirt again.

And I hope you can settle on one pic without changing your mind, oaktree.
You've done way too much work this month. It's making the rest of us look lazy!
