I tried once more to (re)start my effort and ended up drawing exactly the same rubbish I did with the first failure!

The hands don't look too bad (yet 
) - they've got the right number of fingers and everything!
Not sure I can help much with the elbows without hunting down a reference or two, but I would expect the far elbow to look more rounded because of our point of view. (Basically just remove the "dark little triangle" you have now)
