It's Inktober! (2017)

But straight is also boring.

It is! I find it so hard to work with say architecture or cityscapes because it needs straight lines but if they are straight it all looks stiff and boring. Sometimes I make straight lines in a sketch and then redraw the lines on a new layer by hand, just so it will all look more alive.

I can't really do any kind of line unless a messy kind of scrawl is required.

Speaking of which... when you don't have any ideas, scribble another female face.


I started this with my gunky biro/ballpoint but then decided I'd have a go with that Sharpie to put in some solid darks. Sadly I only lasted five minutes before the fumes took me away to that headache place. So it still remains messy and unfinished.

Yikes! No-one's done "Ink" today.

I'd better scribble something and post another grainy photo taken in the dark.

I haven't had time for inktober in a couple of days. Two days ago artrage or tablet was acting up forgetting everything about pressure sensitivity and I couldn't be bothered to restart the whole computer (which fixes it). Yesterday I just never got the time... But at least I'm drawing other things (Halloween in Aywas is an all consuming beast!)

Hopefully I'll get something done today.
And for the record I have no friends either. So there.
