Maybe have the bubble popping on one end, or maybe even both ends? With the center still being smooth? Similar to the pic Kodabble provided. Just a thought. (Almost looks like the little fairy in the upper right might be trying to pop it with his light. )

That looks awesome Oak, coming along great, I personally just like the first one with the bubble intact, I want to create bubble galaxys dammit
