Yep, deliberate intent on my part. Although looking at it next to the pic you posted I should probably have had some reference of him up while I was doing it. I don't necessarily want him to look exactly like Shere Khan in the end, but I did want a Disney style evil cat character.

I'm basically doing Khan from Star Trek into Darkness as a Catlike humanoid using one of the movie posters as inspiration. Line work here and I'll add the basic colour stage next.

what do you guys think, does it meet the site challenge rules or is it too close to the existing character? I did this stage on my ipad so it's a bit pixelated right now. I will clean it up and take it to the next stage if everything is ok.
