CGAN August 2014 Challenge - Ode to Banj - WIPs

These are great starts everyone!! Really impressed by the ideas a quality already!

Is this a traditional piece Mic? It has a wonderful pastel texture.

I tried to do something different this time. In my version Banj is some sort of a dark, mad, modern knight/hacker, I will add a futuristic sword somewhere, I think. He fights an underground, criminal AI-computernetwork... for some reason. Anyway... enjoy, still lots of work to do.

Great update Oak, the characters are coming out really well, like the atmosphere a lot.

Kod I definitely am going for that movie poster look, wanted to include all the characters but couldn't think of a cool scene. I'm going to make the canvas bigger and so I can add more details.

Dom, I was using the same default soft round brush and finally found one I like that adds, some rough texture, I've been overusing it I think, I was going to paint over it with more detail later.

rorke: Many thanks! I find it very important to have something with a nice atmosphere, if that is present than the rest follows more easy.

microscopi: Thank you, Micro! I hope I find enough time to get it to the level where I want it to be.

It's already pretty strong Schizo. I think it looks sharp and so am really looking forward to seeing it progress!

I very much like the subdued lighting and dark atmosphere.

Micro: I think that you should try and keep some of the texture in if you can. Try to use the textured brush at a lower opacity, or use it as your eraser tool. That might help to keep the effect more subtle. Some forts for you!!
