CGAN August 2014 Challenge - Ode to Banj - WIPs

Thanks to everyone who's been discussing ideas in the monthly topic suggestions thread, especially with regards to doing something for Banj for setting up this new haven.

Title: Ode to Banj
Brief: Once upon a time, in a land far far away, there was a small country ruled by the stern Queen Cat. By her side was her magician and advisor the mysterious Webmaster as well as her trustworthy Knight Banj of the Round Wheel with his trustworthy (or not so trustworthy?) squire Binky. Depict Banj (who may or may not be small and furry) in his endeavors to keep Queen and Country safe. Additional characters, as described above, optional.

Deadline: Sunday August 31st, by midnight GMT.

Rules in brief:

• All challenge entries must be your own work.
• You should post at least two WIP images that are clearly different from your final entry and each other.

• Feedback is allowed & encouraged together with the voting and in the WIP thread.
• Deadline is given in UK time (midnight GMT) with a grace period of 5 minutes for getting the post sorted.

But it does sound pretty cool to create the entire scene you describe above. ... Might just have to scribble something out on this, if nothing else.

Of course I should post them now! It's the first of the month!

I know, I know. but I'll have to blame somebody.

Wife not feeling well today, so just going to do some sketching tonight. So just quickly had a play at some banj sketches. Still have no idea, but would like to build a scene for this one. Kind-of partial to the bottom right, but also like the one with the sword?

ok, so I had a play at making a scene, and had to use the avatars for 'Binky & Webmaster' since it's the only ref so to speak. But this is just an idea at this point.

Still going at it, but getting late now. Basically wanted to get some color in.

Does Banj get to enter? As he may have a slight advantage on this one

I'd say he does Though he seems to have gone AWOL since this challenge was posted. Maybe he's shy?

Have you checked behind the fridge? My hamster always used to hide there when he was scared. Until we find him just watch where your treading please people.
