The thought of having only one day in a year on which to be romantic is, I think, rather sad! So, I agree with you!

Everything's on the right!!!

Cool, Kaz. It was 28 years for the wife and I this past December. Though we've been together 32 yrs this coming May. :)

ah, feels like yesterday doesn't it Dave, well I met and married my husband within 6 months, so we've been together 27 years and 6 months :D

Dom, it offends me that we're 'told' that this is a romantic day, and we're charged huge amounts to buy a gift because we feel obliged. It's pure commerciality isn't it?

Romance should be any day of the year, and as simple as a note left before work saying 'I love you'.

Yeah, sometimes it does feel like it was just yesterday. :) And also agree with ya on the holiday too. That's why some refer to it as a Hallmark Holiday. It's all about them making money, and people do indeed feel obligated to get something for their loved one, when they should feel like you state above, and be thoughtful and romantic year-around. ;)

I completely agree!!

I am pathetically single, but I still know that the way you express love is not through one great big gesture, but through many small gestures every single day!

Wow, didn't mean to create such animosity to a single day. Sorry
As for me, my little lady has put up with me for 38 years (32 almost 33 married). :P and she still loves me.
Anyway, time and day of week permitting, we try to do something for fun. This time it's dinner and a concert. :cheer:
