Using some photography in my art: pics of Lake Superior agates and crystals

Hello I'm fairly new here and I do not know if it is okay to use a picture taken by me of a crystal or agate in a fantasy magical setting? I really wanted to do this theme of Magical rocks ....I have so many ideas and art work that I would love to share as well as adding the metaphysical descriptions of agates and crystals.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Of course you're free to use your own photos! And we'd love to see what you do!
The only* thing we frown upon is using others work and claiming it's our own.

*Though I can't swear I'm not forgetting a thing or two!
