Yeah, and maybe some extreme depth of field too so that you only have to paint the tip of the nose and then all the rest is a blurry mess.

Buuurd sketch.
Didn't really get the geometry of the head right and having the other wing cropped out of the photo ref made it even more awkward. But it was done.

It's almost there, but there's just something a little off about the bit above the beak/nostril and my knowledge of bird anatomy doesn't extend beyond the one picture I was looking at.
But they seemed to like it so none of that matters now.
