And I have to add that the GeForce Now performance continues to be shoddy this week despite switching down to 720p. I did manage to carry on playing this time but the sound is still frequently garbled and the connection froze completely for a few seconds just as I was fighting the big gang boss.
It's rather odd considering it was absolutely (almost) perfect last week.
I'm starting to think that they offer their best service when you first try it out to get you to subscribe and if you don't pay up then you're quickly shunted to the glitchy offerings.
But maybe I'm being too cynical there. Perhaps it is just my wifi having a tantrum.

Having your tummy rumble at the exact same time as one of those reefbacks rumbles, too, makes for a rather surreal experience...

I managed to avoid more Witchery deaths by meditating until dawn. The "gangs" of drowners seem to be worse at night so now with the sun up I'm back to just killing them in smaller groups.
And now I have to find that elf chap who wasn't where he was supposed to be.

And looking back at Banj's terrifying horse I'm a little annoyed that I didn't immediately think of the punchline, "Ayes to the right. Noes to the left. Unlock!"

Away from that, Steam informed me that something called Black Desert Online is free to grab for the next couple of days. So I grabbed. But I don't really like MMOs with their "other real people".

Yes, drowners are indeed nocturnal. I believe it's mentioned fairly early on... (When you have a quest to go kill a specific group of them you have to wait to the right time of night)

and maybe that elf guy isn't where you want him to be, because you attacked his friends earlier on?
