After that three-year marketing masterclass from Disney on how to promote a blockbuster sci-fi franchise I imagine that all the other studios will have learnt so many lessons.
In fact I bet the trailer for Star Trek: Beyond will be just as good as those Star Wars clips. I imagine it'll be filled with teasing suggestions of plot and character, peppered with coherent action as Kirk and his crew drive around on imaginative, futuristic vehicles and all of that will surely be backed up with an appropriate, orchestral musical score building to an epic crescendo.
I'll just go and watch it now... It's gonna be great, isn't it? Isn't it?

Although the first Trek reboot was sort of original in all the wrong ways, Into Darkness did beat you over the head with a "Wrath Of Khan" stick. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the audience.
I just wish they'd put the Beastie Boys away. It didn't work in the first one and it still isn't working now. And did that bad guy really say "The frontier pushes back"? Really? *sound of sinking heart*

But enough premature disappointment, enjoy the Star Wars film micro!
