EDIT: 89? Isn't that a bit late for you guys to watch such shows?
We had "Anita och Televinken" which aired from 64 (yes, before my time) to the early 90-ies apparently. But I'm pretty sure I watched in the late 70-ies, possibly early 80-ies. There were a few other, similar shows as well. Mostly 70-ies stuff, I believe (or 60-ies to 70-ies).

We were among the first to get cable TV in my town when I gre up. That must have been mid to late 80-ies... We got two British channels... Not that I can recall their names. Oh and MTV back when it actually showed music videos.... Anyway there was a Eurosomething with a presenter I think was named Nick. I liked him

I think most people my age are quite sentimental about it :p It was educational, and funny. At least two of the three presenters were also doing comedies and stage stuff... (for an adult audience).

That would explain the ideas behind shows such as Survivor or Robinson (the latter might just be the Swedish version of the former, I'm not sure).
