I remember when the first Kick Ass came out there was another movie released called Super that had a very similar plot and I preferred that one.
Internet reviews suggest that I'm in the minority with that opinion. Again.

I am with you in that minority. I don't think they are particularly similar really, but Super is a better and more interesting film. Shut up crime
