Phaunos was created by
Mythological faun - Part Sculpey modelling clay, part dried mushrooms, and a little bit of Photoshop. Weird, huh? : )

Cool Image. So this is a sculpt? Would like to see a photo of it before Photoshop and mushrooms.
Did you incorporate the mushrooms in with the clay? (or eat them before Photoshopping , kidding :whistle: )

Really great image, the eyes are especially good, really draw you in and are full of character.

Thanks, it all started with symmetry based design - something I learned while attending Scott Robertson's Concept Art and Design Masterclass. It's a lot of fun to mix with other techniques.

@Kodabble

The face portion was a sculpt - pretty tiny, actually - about 2 inches high. The dried mushrooms were shot separately with a symmetry filter and Photoshopped into the image..not pressed into the actual clay. Yes, we did, in fact, eat them. And no.... they weren't those type of mushrooms :P
