Tilda

Kaz mentioned it, so I thought I'd better post it. A mild caricature of Tilda Swinton.

It was done very quickly (about 2 hours) to meet a contest deadline, without any preparatory sketch. I just started blocking in shapes and refined it as I went along:

Loosely based on this reference. I had already decided I wanted to go with a colour scheme that contrasted her (sometimes) vivid red hair with a subdued olive green, and then I came across this photo, and I liked the profile view it showed.

I think the colour choices are wise and really make it all come together as a piece. Very nice indeed!

Really cool, you have a way with capturing their look so well. Wolverine is my fav !

Really great caricatures. I admire someone who can distort the face to bring out the person. I've done some, but they either are to realistic or no longer identifiable as the person I was drawing.

Your work is always amazing. I love the Jennifer Lawrence piece really nice.

There's affection in the Jennifer Lawrence piece which I think is lovely. But it's the Hugh Jackman piece that stands out for me. A great caricature!
