what rental? Oh you mean, am I not allowed to have pets. Yes I am. I always pictured rescuing a homeless housecat though, not getting a "super pricey pure bred".

And I heard from mom today that my sis is now about to get the second female (a sokoke) pregnant too... sokokes are so pretty.... But also very lively - a cuddly housecat would surely be the best thing for me!

EDIT: Not to mention giving in once might just mean it gets easier to give in twice... and...

Yeah I thought you mentioned you couldn’t have a pet. It’s definitely true that once you give in & get one it’s almost certain to happen again ? you do need a cuddly one

well I'd just rather have a house before I get one. But then, that can take forever... so I'm rather tempted. But I'm leaving it to er... well, potential buyers. I've more or less promised I might "have to help" if she can't sell all of them. :p

(That other kitten I more or less promised I might take doesn't seem to need a new home after all, so...)

Well, that's how we ended up with the three pups we have. And believe me, if it was up to my wife, we probably would have at least one or two more. I think she would have taken the whole lot if she could!

It's been 5 years since we picked up the little ones, and there's one I named "Panda" that she still speaks about, saying she wished we could have taken him too. Here's his pic...

Dave when we first got Shelby we took her to the pet shop to buy collars etc. A little old lady was there with a chihuahua. We were talking and she said she’d been on antidepressants for the last few years since losing her husband, her friend gave her the chihuahua for company & not long after she got it she stopped her antidepressants. She said she had something to live for again & the pup made her so happy. It’s true, they make the world a better place

Yeah they do indeed. ... I can't imagine not having any pets around. My wife grew up with none, and I had just about everything you can think of. So we've had quite a few pets in our 34 yrs. now, and as sad as it is to have to let them go, having them around makes a world of difference. My wife has said a few times, how she's not sure she wants another one, when we have had one pass away. But as soon as she sees another puppy, she knows how much it would mean to have it as part of the family

Panda looks adorable. I think there are way too few Aawwwwws in this thread, considering recent posts.
