Totally Random

My new mouse arrived today
I ruined my nails trying to open the "battery hatch".... Now I know why Banj hates the wireless ones
Then I realised it needs AAA batteries and I have loads of AA, but seemingly no AAA's at home (and just got home from the store and from helping dad settle back in as he just got back from hospital)


*goes to have another look for batteries*

UPDATE
*finds more AA batteries*
*finds loads of AAA batteries*
*checks carefully and then proceeds to insert batteries backwards*
*finally manages to get the innermost battery out and put them in right - scrolling works, clicking works, moving doesn't*
*restarts computer - no change in result*
*tries with something other than tablet under the mouse* It works!
Now why would the shop show black mouse pads together with this mouse if it needs something white for the optical thingymagick to work?

Guess I'll have to glue a white paper onto my tablet

Optical thingies need white?

Never heard that before. Mines an optical mouse and my mouse mat is mostly black.
It's actually a Star Wars one with one of those 3D lenticular pictures on it.

Well Optical thingies don't necessarily need white. But what I heard was it's better and uses less battery. But this new one (which is also a bit too big and keeps shutting itself off when not in use which is probably good but kind of annoying when you want to use it again. I'm not sure you're supposed to bang it against the table to wake it up again but.... I dunno what else to do... ) this new one just won't move the cursor at all if it's on black...

You bought a racist mouse

You know, a wired mouse wouldn't have any of these problems. You just plug it in and use it

A wired mouse has a gazillion OTHER problems. And my wireless still has that red light underneath - except it all seems bigger so it lights up stuff around me which is extremely annoying.

But I'm gonna have to beat that racism out of it for sure. Or replace it (as I suspect the former isn't really an option).

Why does Phthalo Blue have to stain so much?

I was doing some blending on an acrylic painting earlier and I now have a strangely coloured finger.

Why do I always wait with going to bed just long enough to get hungry? Or maybe I should ask, why do I always get hungry when I realise it's past my bedtime?
