CGAN May 2017 - The First Vampire - WIPs

That's coming along very well, Atto.
I like the pose of the girl on the right, it's very expressive with the lowered head and the hunched shoulders. It makes you feel the sense of submission, intimidation and fear, and all of that emphasizes the sense of power that the vampire character has over everyone. Keep going.

Still struggling to make progress with mine. Part of me wants to do another change up before it's too late to start again. Then again, maybe something will happen if I keep plugging on with it.

It cod be. Maybe it's the scale of the image that causes that. Not sure water do about it. Er... add another fish pun here.

Significant progress with several whole additional lines that weren't in the previous image.

It certainly looks like an original design. I'm looking forward to seeing further wholly new additional lines added in whole.

Time for some of my dross. :sigh:
Today I spent 90 mins advancing it to this stage...



...then I stepped back, took a look aaand hated it.
The composition is doing nothing for me, having an arm/wing like a Dracula-style cloak now seems silly and the girl's face didn't improve despite some obsessively precise measurements from the ref.

So, with nothing to lose any more I spent another 15 mins trying something else and came up with this...





...and yes, it may be generic in a concept art way and a little simplistic but I kinda like it.

I like the new fella too. I think the first one might be more "generic in concept" anyhow and I've never quite understood why the victims tend to look so happy
