I had a bit of a doodle for a couple of hours trying out some ideas and settled on this unoriginal thing:

Sorcerer comes home to find Apprentice sneaking a peek at the Spell Book.








In fact it seemed increasingly familiar as I worked on it so I guess it's even more unoriginal than my usual nonsense.
Anyway ... the colours are a mess at the moment, I was just using them to mark out warms and cools instead of greyscale so hopefully they'll become more sensible later. Also I'll probably extend the composition sideways into a landscape format if I don't abandon it. And I'm going through a Photoshop phase at the moment so it'll be blurry rather than ArtRage smeary .

Obviously you are both mistaken, it clearly says 'sorcerers' and banj's deadly stare means that you are mistaken.

The mysterious Valence is back on the field again I see. Good start! I like the idea with the book

Micro it looks at the moment a bit like a jellyfish/octopus becoming a human but thats great

Love the atmosphere Micro, and think that moon makes it look even better.

I'm inspired by that book Valence. Was going to take the idea and used that glowing text might be cheat though

Hopefully it's open for interpretation if not I'll try something else (maybe even a face?), as I'm not that good at faces. So I done a cat. Staff/wand inspired by my childhood days of Simon the sorcerer here was going to do simon's dog, but couldn't work out what dog he had. When I get more time I'll try adding more.

Going for a cat playing with his masters wand. Hopefully colouring goes well!

Done a little more. Feels now that I've done a bit too little, but once I've got a colour I like I may widen the area at the back a little.
