Every time I post, the captcha code thingy comes up, and requires me to type in the two words.

Is it supposed to be like that?

For your first 5 posts only yes. Spam prevention (especially considering the last few weeks of IFX's forum). After 5 posts you are free of the thing forever.

Was actually wondering the same, but see now it's only for a short period. Good thinking on keeping out the bots though.

So what happens when I try to post something and forget to type in the captcha? Cuz... I might've done that. It said I was labelled as spam and I felt so dirty.

Your post probably vanishes into the either (it might just get thrown into an admin bin where it can be retrieved). The answer is to ensure you complete the captcha if you see it on the screen (it's only for 5 posts) :P

HAL (our resident anti spam-bot bot also has an occasional fit and throws genuine posts away that he decided were spam. If he becomes too enthusiastic then people should let us know and we can... correct him.

That's odd when I forgot to input the captcha it just came up with a message at the top of the page telling me to enter it, post left intact. Perhaps HAL was in a good mood on that occasion..
