I've been trying to scribble the Mothman for the last couple of days...

...but I'm not quite sure what kind of arms/legs/hands/feet a mothman would actually have. :S

You would think that the genuine eye witnesses that absolutely saw it and didn't just make it up would actually have explained what arms/legs/hands/feet the mothman actually really does have

I was almost going to do Mothy myself, but I think I have finally settled on the Jersey Devil... maybe.

The hands/feet are slowly turning into generic claw things that don't make much sense.

In fact a lot of the anatomy doesn't make much sense but if it did then they wouldn't be mythical cryptid things, would they? :confident:

And I'll probably flip and transform that wing if I ever finish it. :P

I think the hands and feet look suitably creepy and mothy at the same time. A pet peeve of mine, though... Butterflies and moths usually have the fancy patterns on the other side of the wings. I'm aware most people completely ignore this when it comes to fairies and such, but.... like I said, it's a er... peeve. Can something be only a peeve or is it always a pet peeve? :hmm:

Maybe it's a wild peeve?

:woohoo:
From now on I will only have wild peeves. :aha:

Edit: also I think I might have to release my peeve. I did an image search for moth undersides and they seem to often have patterns there too. So maybe it's just butterflies who have boring undersides. Or even just the Swedish butterflies

:dumb:
