And I realised that not only is the interior considerably larger than the exterior but the entire upper floor lacks windows and the inner walls don't even match the size, shape and timber structure of the outer walls
When they decide on an architectural style and make blocks to build the whole place why on earth wouldn't they take such things into consideration??? Most houses have the row of arched windows as far as I recall, and none of them can have them in the interior... and these interior walls I'm looking at are less wide and less tall than the outside walls. While the other inside walls (with a "flat top") are wider than the exterior.
I'm started to fear that if I keep looking at Riften I will end up redoing every single building because I suspect none of them are the same size and shape inside as outside. And the same was true in Solitude... I guess I know why some modders end up rebuilding the cities.
Edit: Maybe I should mention that green is the structure of the outside wall while purple follows the structure of the inside wall... in the picture.

I clearly don't have this obsession for consistent architecture.

I saw that Nifskope had a "importen .obj as collision" option, so I tried that for my tavern... It was rotated but that was easily fixed and it looked OK in CK even if the block structure looks off in Nifskope. I wonder if it'll show up and have collision in game???
to be continued...
Edit: Well, no. Of course it wasnt that simple.
I also decided against having two signs on the tavern and removed one, but it's still there. And although I changed the sign's location on the horisontal beam, it's reverted back to the original sign's (Moorside Inn) position.
I dunno if maybe the game just isn't updating or if I'm doing stuff wrong at the other end...

It also seems to be pushing the tavern sign into a permanent 90-degree position. That or there's one heck of a wind in Karthwasten tonight....
Edit: Because I converted all the collision geometry to convex shapes
Then again that was the only "havok convertion" option. So what to do instead....
