Hmm.

The raytracing makes no difference at all to the image, which makes me think that my poor graphics card can't do that kind of thing.
And the real-time displacement mapping seems to completely break the mesh apart on some of the edges.
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.

It is now turning perpendicular to it's original position around both the z and x axes... axis? axises.

Sign was for a moment almost correct except it swung around the vertical axis instead of the horisontal. I tried to change that and now the whole wooden posts comes floating down again... slowly rotating around the sign on it's slow slow decent to the ground.

I think something isn't quite right...

Well it can't be any worse than my attempts at hard-surface modelling this evening.
And I can't blame the new Blender either cos I'd switched back and was working in the version I'm familiar with.

I guess it'll be back to painting for a while.
