*realises that my timing was out and that I have to rescale all my keys so I now have to render 200 more frames*

Render fast but move slow, please.

I've managed to add a bit of drag to the flakes now but one of them just fell really close to my light and it cast a massive shadow across the whole scene. I wondered what the hell was happening.

*turns off shadows for snowflakes*

Is your Yeti trying to run away?

Now that you mention it he does "exit stage left" at the end.

I was just struggling to get my falling snow to behave as well as the snow that Banj has falling on this site.

But I think it's working now.
Snowflakes are baked.
Footprints are baked.
Spent another half hour trying to position a fill light so that it doesn't ruin the shadows.

Need to render a full thumbnail test now to see if anything else needs tweaking before the big, long, full size render.

Turn everything on. Everything.

Aaaand wait.
Only 10% resolution. But still..... wait.

EDIT: 30 minutes later and I still have 100 frames to go. At just 10% full size. Render faster!
And this isn't even in Cycles. Actually the hair texture doesn't work in Cycles (for some reason ) but I wouldn't be using it anyway. I just like to complain about everything.

After lots of furious fiddling with just two key frames the full size render is now doing its thing.

The Long Night has begun.

*wiggles mouse to stop PC from sleeping*

Edit 2: (yawn) It is done. And it's .... sort of OK.
