three and a half hours?

FOUR and a half. It had already got through 150 frames when I first posted.

But at least it's done now.

I hope you rendered it as frames and not as a video file 

That wouldn't have helped anyway as it's a modelling issue that affects all the frames.
It's a quick thing to fix but obviously not a quick thing to re-render.

If I do bother to redo it then I will definitely do it as frames so that I don't have to do it all at once. I'm getting a bit fed up of using all my computer time for just rendering.

You know you can set your computer to NOT go to sleep and just let it render over night while you sleep?

Sleep?

Yes sleep. If you can, without dreaming that a family of black bears enter your house and attack you and you try to hit mommy bear with a crowbar but basically drop it (the crowbar, not the bear) like a total fool and then decide that just running at it screaming might be a good idea.

Having once witnessed an old power supply blow up I no longer like leaving a PC cooking overnight when I'm not around or awake to stop the flames and smoke.
And I always get confused with the sleep thing cos there's one kind where the PC still works but the screen goes blank and the other kind where the PC shuts down by itself and at any given moment I'm never sure which one is going to kick in.

Anyway I have fixed the little problem and while typing this I'm actually rendering some frames in the background. Not all frames. Not the full video file. Just some frames. To be saved in a folder. And let's see where that gets me.

I'd love to make fun of you and explain that THIS is what does that and THAT is the other thing, but frankly, those two power settings confuse me too.
