Adventures across the 3rd dimension

Well, if the dragon has evolved along with all the other legged animals of today, the base would probably be five fingers (including thumbs) but then again, there were prehistoric animals with more fingers and there are several who've fused their fingers or toes to one or two...

Yeah, bats are always what I end up looking at after it all goes wrong.

And seeing as my dragon's feetsies have three toes and maybe an extra little claw at the back it seemed right to do three "fingers" too but...
It may not progress that far anyway.

And there are quite a few holes in the mesh.
Made a bit of a mess with the Dyntopo plus symmetry and didn't notice it straight away. Can't undo that far back and I can't manually patch all the dodgy triangles so I'll probably have to do a voxel remesh later and that will no doubt make a mess of those narrow "finger" bits unless I have zillions of polygons.

I may have to completely restart it if this kind of wonderfully efficient competence continues.

I might work a bit at clarifying the bone structure in hips and shoulders. The arms have a bit of a "round bend" at the shoulders and I think the hips may have one bone more than actual animals...

Wings!

 

This has been tricky.
I don't know whether to keep the flat-looking wings as a separate object, maybe do them as a flappy cloth sim, or just merge them in a Boolean way with the body and then make them just as lumpy.
Dilemmas.
Oh, and I added a couple of horns around the head.

I have no suggestions as I find the wing membrane to be the trickiest part of 3D Dragons on the few occasions I have made any.
