Yes. When it does what I want it to do, it's OK. When it doesn't.... Grrrrr.

(but thanks, though. Maybe I'll have the patience later, when I've struggled to the point of tears with smoothing my pumpkins or something... )

Now Unity is driving me boinkers

It's hard enough to try to rotate the view without rotating your items, but earlier I messed up somehow and the items ended up presumably 100s of meters away and way out of the scene window and I couldn't find them again. So I closed Unity thinking it should look as usual next time - the scene isn't saved after all. But no. If I place the items at 0, 0, 0, I have absolutely NO IDEA where they are. I don't know if I should scroll forwards, backwards, up, down, pan to the left, right? *sigh* IT MAKES NO SENSE.

The interwebs suggest that double clicking an item in the hierarchy will focus the viewport camera on that item, also selecting one and pressing F focuses on it.
