Adventures across the 3rd dimension

Just tried using the knife and remembered why it's so frustrating. I can mark where I want the cut but have no idea how to actually apply it. Anything I do once I've made a selection just makes the selection go away.

I've now chippified the stone furniture items. I think I used the knife tool once?

And then I built a sofa. Which was way too small and had to be scaled up by 20 %. Not sure why everything starts out too small - either the characters in game are exceptionally tall or there's something wrong with my notes on the sizes of existing in game items. Probably both (Judging by their sizes compared to the beds, I'd say they're all about 1.9 meters...)


Will probably use a different texture later, this is the same as the beds.

I guess you blunted it after the first use 

Yeah.... something more like a diamond drill probably works better on stone...

Not the table I had intended to make...

 

Looks good, intended or otherwise.
I like the texture/material of the fabric , I thought it worked well on the previous model too.

These things take me way too long to get right  


Edit: And that towel really doesn't look like a towel yet.

May just need a different texture to make it look softer.

How does the texturing work with these mods? Is it just a colour map or do you also use material settings like roughness/metallic/specular etc?
