I'm not really the kind of person that signs up to websites, I happily avoid twitter and face-thingy and many more. For the most part the only place on the internet where I ever log in is ... here!
However in my ongoing quest to find facial references I did finally make an extra effort and signed up to Reddit about a month ago just so that I could play along with the Reddit Gets Drawn sub, which is a place where people post photos of themselves and/or pets, and other people try to draw them. It's good fun and gives you a bit of quick portrait practice that makes a nice change from the over-familiar celebrity caricatures that I'd otherwise be doing (or trying to do.) Although there are far too many talented people over there, it's a one-way ticket to feeling inadequate.
So "reddit scribbling" just means a scribble done from a reference I found over there and most of the recent stuff that I've dumped here and in the General Scribbles thread have been "reddit scribbles."

I haven't actually read it myself yet but ... I thought you might find it useful based on a certain frequent comment of yours
EDIT: now that I've read it I think it was pretty useless. It links to what they call an in depth guide that at least seems somewhat more promising...

(not that the several cylinder shapes for fingers method ever helped me much in the past)

All information about drawing hands is forever welcome but, as you said, they don't seem to help me much either.
And just the other day YouTube recommended I watch a video of comic artist Jim Lee churning out hands with such casual and effortless speed that it left me in a bad mood all day.
