this damn sketchbook

Hey, everyone! My name is Rhia and this is my first time doing one of this forum sketchbooks (I usually just post on Tumblr.) I'm looking to try socializing with other fellow artists and perhaps finding other ways to help improve my work by getting feedback and critiques on my studies and whatnot.

My work has a lot of the typical animu style, but I'm working towards changing that and getting a bit of a more realistic feel to it. I've also tried avoiding coloring my work over the years since I have a terrible sense of color coordination and knowing even how to color, so I've been learning to digital paint, as well.

At the moment, I am taking a summer class over at Laguna College of Art and Design to develop my portfolio, and hope to get into LCAD in the Spring. Count on me sharing my class assignments!

Why not jump into the latest monthly challenge. It is a good way to stretch your work and get feedback.

The OP image, I'm afraid not! It's my buddy Madison. I could never pull off the half-shaved hair style like she does!

The drab cat lady image, however, is definitely a self-portrait!

No worries, I'm probably as late as they come! And thanks! I will definitely be checking those out since I could always use a good study or practice.
