Cheers Spud, I thought it might be a clutch/lead holder. I actually looked into the 5.5/5.6mm leads a while back but never got around to ordering one. Always wanted to try using one, since I usually use 0.5 & 0.3 leads when I sketch. Which are great for fine detail but thought the larger lead might make me work more on structure, actions, etc, and maybe keep me from jumping into details too soon.

Yep, I did just that. Ordered a 5.5mm from JetPens.com, along with some additional leads and cube sharpener. ... I also ordered a 2mm Rosetta DaVinci from Amazon, along with a few different lead types and sharpener. Both are scheduled to be delivered in the next few days, and I can't wait to try them out.

I like how the 3d stuff still retains the same style as your 2d pics. I don't know how you make that work but it does.

And is that Guybrush in the first pic? I do have a weakness for "Gibberish Driftwood" and his pirate adventures.

Another set of excellent work Spud, thanks for sharing.
Especially loving that piece with the gate, the light pouring through the portcullis is just perfect. All your stuff is a lesson in how an image with evident brush strokes and a sketchy finish can be so much more evocative than a 'polished' one.

Don't think I could have said it better then Atto, above. The loose sketchy look is something I've always enjoyed too, but never had a knack for, like you obviously do. ... But If you ever did any vids, It would be nice to see you process and just how you work up those loose, sketchy images.
