What's the first drawing that you clearly remember doing as a child?

What's the biggest obstacle you've faced in progressing your artistic career and how did you handle it? In hindsight, would you advice others to do the same or handle it differently?

@Valence: The first drawing I did was a bunch of houses and some snow. I did this when I was in kindergarten. My teacher said it was probably one of the worst drawing she has ever seen and I should never draw again so I do not embarrass my family. (For real.)

@Charlotte: My biggest obstacle has always been myself. Sometimes a bit ego can help me be brave and confident but it takes more courage to admit my own shortcoming. The best approach for me was separate my technique and my being, so I never take things at a personal level and thus more flexible and accepting to other people's critique.
