Of Mars

Brief: Time to paint something related to the Edgar Rice Burroughs stories of Barsoom.

Deadline: Midnight on Sunday the 31st of March.

- All challenge entries must be your own work.
- You should post at least two WIP images that are clearly different from your final entry and each other.
- Your final entry should contain your image (inserted so it shows up full size) and at least two links to your WIP posts on the forum.
- No chatter in the finals thread – if you have questions, post them in the WIP thread or PM an admin.
- Feedback is allowed & encouraged together with the voting and in the WIP thread.
- Deadline is given in UK time (midnight UTC) with a grace period of 5 minutes for getting the post sorted.
- Each member may cast one vote.
- No cheating! Admins may decide to disqualify an entry that does not adhere to the above rules.

Final Sorak cat thingy for which there are virtually no descriptions that I can find, other than it's cat like and the size of a green Martian's hand  :

Voting ends next Wednesday (the 8th) night at the stroke of midnight, at which point someone will race to the forum and count up the votes immediately announcing a winner... unless that doesn't happen and it takes a couple of days for that to happen. But it will happen eventually

The multi limbed anatomy is tricky to sort out but I think you did a decent job of all those arms. I think maybe the hand at the top of the spear (below the sword hand) is holding the spear oddly. I also just noticed, but now can't unnotice  that there is a cool shadow from the spear crossing his legs... but the sun is behind him  And another great ground texture 

Maybe Mars has two suns?
