What do you think of my way? (Drawing from reference, and then drawing it again and again [Or doing a tutorial and then doing it again and again])

I should really start practicing bodies but I'm not sure what's the best approach this subject..
I started learning about the bones and muscles names and shapes from Memrise but still didn't draw them..
Is it ok to just sit and draw each bone/muscle separately few times? Should I stick with formulas (8 heads, gesture etc.)? Should I do quick 30s sketches like some people do with 3d references?
